Was ist neu beim ACT! Update 7.0.4 ?

Hier ein wichtiger Hinweis zu den neuen Berichtsvorlagen aus der Liesmich.txt-Datei des dt. ACT! 7.04 Updates:
Damit man sich diesen Weg sparen kann, habe ich die neuen Berichtsdateien im "Reports-Unterordner" in einer ZIP-Datei zusammengefasst: ACT704deReports.zip. Man braucht Sie nur nach dem Update auf 7.04 in den Reports-Ordner der bestehenden Datenbanken ersetzen.
Leider wurde in den neuen Report-Dateien nicht die Übersetzung von "Date" nach "Datum" vorgenommen (s. "Sortierung von Notizen, Protokollen, Aufgaben in Berichten"). Diese Korrektur habe ich gleich in den gezippten Dateien vorgenommen.

Das ACT! 7.0.4 Update enthält aktualisierte Berichtsvorlagen. Wenn Sie auf ACT! 7.0.4 updaten müssen Sie eine neue Datenbank erstellen und danach die Berichtsvorlagen aus dem Berichtsverzeichnis der neuen Datenbank in das Berichtsverzeichnis der Datenbank kopieren, die Sie verwenden. Führen Sie dazu folgende Schritte aus:
1. Wählen Sie "Datei", "Neue Datenbank".
2. Wählen Sie einen Namen für die Datenbank und einen Benutzernamen. Notieren Sie sich den Ablageort der neuen Datenbank.
3. Klicken Sie die Schaltfläche "OK", um die neue Datenbank anzulegen
4. Nachdem die neue Datenbank angelegt wurde und der Kontaktbildschirm angezeigt wird, beenden Sie ACT!
5. Öffnen Sie den Windows Explorer und navigieren Sie zum Ablageort der
Datenbank aus Schritt 2
6. In Schritt 2 haben Sie für die neue Datenbank einen Namen gewählt.
Für diese neue Datenbank finden Sie einen Ablageort mit dem Namen
"Name der neuen Datenbank"-'database files'. Bpsw. heißt der Ablageort für einen Datenbank mit dem Namen "Kontakte" 'Kontakte-database files'. Öffnen Sie das Datenbankverzeichnis der Datenbank, die Sie neu angelegt haben.
7. Unterhalb des Datenbankverzeichnisses finden Sie ein das Berichtsver-
zeichnis, das die neuen Berichtsvorlagen enthält. Öffnen Sie dieses
Verzeichnis
8. Kopieren Sie alle neuen Berichtsvorlagen in das Berichtsverzeichnis jeder Datenbank, die Sie verwenden. Verwenden Sie mehrere Datenbank, müssen Sie die neuen Berichtsvorlagen mehrfach kopieren. Damit können Sie die neuen Berichtsfunktionen für die Standardberichte in der Version 7.0.4 nutzen.
WARNUNG: Das Kopieren der neuen Berichtsvorlagen überschreibt alle
Berichtsvorlagen, die Sie im Berichtsverzeichnis Ihrer Datenbank(en) haben. Wenn Sie die Standard-Berichtsvorlagen angepaßt haben oder Berichtsvorlagen angelegt haben, die dieselben Namen wie die neuen Berichtsvorlagen haben, erstellen Sie ein Backup dieser Vorlagen, BEVOR Sie die neuen Berichtsvorlagen kopieren und führen Sie Ihre Anpassungen in den neuen Berichtsvorlagen erneut durch.

- • Blank Contact fields no longer cause blank spaces or blank pages in reports.
• Picture fields now display in reports .
• Unused sections in a report do not appear in the Define Filters option now
• When running a report for the Current Lookup that has at least one Group By section, the report will now sort by that criteria; otherwise, the report will sort the same way as the contacts in the Current Lookup.
• Section breaks across multiple pages now functions correctly.
• Filtering by users now functions correctly.
• Scrolling through report pages in preview mode, before the report finishes compiling, is now enabled.
• Resizing multiple fields, text boxes, etc. in the Report Designer is now enabled.
• Labels printed from the preview screen now align correctly.
• Label widths can now be modified.
• Opening the Page setup (even without making changes), no longer changes label width.
• Bookmarks now work correctly when report output sent to PDF format.
• The Company Summary Report no longer causes an error when filtered for the non-logged-in user.
• Contacts, Groups, or Companies are no longer included in reports when they do not contribute data to sub-reports (such as Notes or Histories) for the selected date range.
• The Opportunity by Product report will no longer cause an error.
• A Task List report (similar to pervious versions of ACT!) as been added under Other Contact Reports. This report will compile a list of Calls, Meetings, and To-do's scheduled with each contact during a specified date range..
• Additional graphic types can be added to your report templates. The following list includes available file types of graphics that can now be added to a report template.
- BMP: Standard bit-mapped graphics format for Window environment.
- JPG/JPEG: Joint Photographic Experts Group
- GIF: Graphics Interchange Format
- PNG: Portable Network Graphics
- ICO: Images saved in Icon graphics format
- EMF: Enhanced Metafile Format graphics files
• Group and Company reports that include Subgroups and Divisions now indent to indicate the hierarchy.
• Resizing fields that extend into the gray (non-printable) area, no longer require repositioning first.
• Saving to HTML format from the print preview is now available.
• A custom field located above a field referenced in an expression, now displays the correct data.
• The Actual Close Date field for an open or inactive opportunity now displays '(None)' in a report.
• System fields added to reports no longer cause custom scripts to fail.
• If 'E-mail' is de-selected from the Define Filters dialog box, when running a History report; other History types are no longer excluded.
• Errors no longer occur when filtering by a custom date range.
• The Opportunity by Company report now functions correctly.
• Four additional types of report output options have been added. You may choose from Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Tiff Image, or Paged HTML
- • Clearing an activity and changing the duration now saves the correct duration .
• Rescheduling an activity to timeless no longer causes the start date to change to tomorrow's date (causing a negative duration) .
• Tabbing and Shift-Tabbing through the Schedule Activity dialog box no longer causes the Start Date, End Date and Duration fields to sporadically change.
- • If an alarm is snoozed in both a main and remote database, an error no longer occurs.
- • Various topics have been updated and new reporting topics have been added.
- • An error no longer occurs if ACT! is closed within one minute of opening
- • The 04 Negotiation – Follow Up 3 template for Microsoft Word now opens correctly.
- • Additional USB TAPI devices are now supported.
- • The Group Detail & Company Detail views now display faster .
- • The Managers team no longer appears on the Limited Access list for a Contact.
- • The Treo 650 and Tungsten T5 are now supported devices.
• A DOH-type HotSync is now possible after a 90-day expiration.
• Changes made on the Palm to contacts created on the device now synchronize to ACT! correctly.
• After a hard reset of the device and a Desktop Overwrites Handheld (DOH) HotSync, information transfers to the Palm correctly.
• If a Limited Access contact is changed to Public (or vice versa), this contact is now properly removed/added (as necessary) from/to the Palm.
• If the Record Manager on a Note is modified, it is now properly added/removed (as necessary) to/from the Palm.
• The Last Reach field can now be mapped.
• If contacts were added to a History, the information will now synchronize correctly.
• A deleted 'shared' Note is now properly removed from the device.
• When contacts are added or removed from a Note, the information will now synchronize properly to the Palm.
• If the Mobile telephone number is removed in ACT! and a HotSync is performed, the Mobile number is now removed on the Palm.
• Disabling and then re-enabling device synchronization for a user, now functions properly.
• Restoring a backup or recreating a Remote database no longer causes synchronization to the Palm to stop working.
• Editing the ‘Every’ field for a daily/weekly/monthly/yearly recurring activity on the Palm, now synchronizes correctly.
• Currency fields now synchronize correctly to the Palm.
• Synchronizing with currency and date fields now works correctly.
• Changing Field Types for custom fields, no longer causes synchronization to stop.
• If a contact on the Palm is duplicated, the duplicate contact now synchronizes to ACT! correctly.
• Modifying the name of a field that is being synchronized no longer causes the synchronization to fail.
• Changes to the Country Code of a telephone field on the Palm, now synchronize to ACT! correctly.
• Adding a user in ACT! no longer causes the HotSync action to revert to one-way (DOH).
• If a contact is deleted in a main database and on a Palm that synchronize with a remote database, the contact is now correctly removed from both databases.
• If a contact changes from Private to Public (and that contact is then synchronized to the Palm because it is part of the sync set), it will now HotSync correctly to the Palm.
• Changing a recurring activity to a single instance will now HotSync correctly.
• Uncleared activities now synchronize to the Palm correctly.
• If activities are moved to another contact using the ‘Copy/Move Contact Data’ feature, they now synchronize correctly to the Palm.
• If activities in the middle of a recurring activity are erased or cleared, the remaining instances are erased correctly.
• Editing a Private activity in ACT! to Public (and vice versa) will now synchronize correctly.
• If an activity is created on the Palm without information in the Regarding field, a Meeting is now created in ACT!.
• If one or more contacts are removed from an activity and the remaining contact(s) on the activity are not being synchronized to the Palm, the activity is now removed from the Palm.
• Single-day and multi-day events now synchronize properly.
• Activities scheduled by other users now appear properly on the Palm.
• The Handheld Setup dialog box now displays the version of the Link.
• Canceled changes to the Handheld Setup are now correctly discarded.
• Handheld Setup views can no longer be minimized, maximized or resized.
- • Activities scheduled by other users now appear properly on the Pocket PC.
• Declined single recurrence activities no longer ActiveSync to the Pocket PC.
• If changes are made in ACT! to contacts with whom an activity is scheduled, these changes are now properly reflected when activities are synchronized to the Pocket PC.
• If an activity is scheduled with a contact, but the contact field is not completed on the contact records, the contact now appears correctly in the Attendee List on the Pocket PC.
• If a recurring activity, in the middle of the recurrence, is cleared on the Pocket PC, those changes now synchronize correctly to ACT!.
• Uncleared activities in ACT! now synchronize to the Pocket PC.
• Modifications to name prefixes and suffixes now synchronize correctly.
• Contacts without e-mail addresses now appear correctly on activities.
• If a contact is removed from a 'shared' Note in ACT!, that Note is removed from the contact on the Pocket PC.
• Modifying a 'shared' Note on the Pocket PC, no longer creates a duplicate Note in ACT!.
• Combined Contacts (using ‘Copy/Move Contact Data’ feature) now ActiveSync correctly to the Pocket PC.
• Contacts duplicated on the Pocket PC will now synchronize to ACT! correctly.
• If the field mapping changes after synchronization, the full list of fields now displays for remapping. Restoring the defaults is not necessary.
• If e-mail addresses are added to contacts in ACT!, they are now added to the Attendee List for previously scheduled activities.
• Private Notes deleted in ACT! are now properly removed from the Pocket PC.
• Handheld Setup views can no longer be minimized, maximized or resized.
• The Handheld Setup now displays the version of the Link.
• Changes canceled in the Handheld Setup are now correctly discarded.
